Once again members and guests enjoyed a fun night at the "Annual Festive Partner's Evening" held at Prenton Golf Club. (pictured above) Following a delightful buffet meal, Rtn Jill MacKeen organised a couple of enjoyable quizzes. (Pictured below)  "Quiz Mistress" Jill presenting prizes to one of the winning teams in this case... Barbara Thomas and President Bill. The remainder of the evening was enjoyed with music, dancing and great conversation.

The marvellous sum of £730 was raised by members of Rotary Club of Birkenhead - plus one guest, who took part in the Liverpool 5Km Run

Pictured with Vice President Peter Davis & Jean Harkin, is her guest Chris Sumner. Chris is a member of Southport Links Rotary Club and is also the Coroner for Sefton , St Helens and Knowsley in addition to being Assistant Deputy Coroner for Wirral

" Returned by popular demand,Brian Price of Chester Club entertained members for the second time in as many months as he recounted his life and experiences at sea. Joining Cunard Line as a young Purser Office he worked his way up to Cruise Entertainments Director. This was a post he held with both Holland American Lines and Cunard Line before retiring. Needless to say his many years of cruising, ports of call and ships passengers provided Brian with a wonderful portfolio of stories, just a few of which he shared and entertained us with."

Pictured is speaker George Scott former LFC player, with both Liverpool & Everton supporting Rotarians. George's talk to the Club was excellent when he gave a full account of his footballing career & many anecdotal quotes from the great Bill Shankly . A most enjoyable evening was had by all.
